The company’s guiding spirit remains its founder, Mr. Vigneswaran, a senior Manager of Swiss Air in Sri Lanka for 18 years.

The first Sri Lankan posted overseas in a position of responsibility by Swiss Air. Mr. Vigneswaran established VMS Travels & Tours Pvt Ltd on the 12th march 1987 following the airlines closure of its Colombo office.

Today VMS is distinguished by almost 40 “top agent” awards from leading international carriers: a unique accomplishment that stems from its policy of intensive in-house training –especially in fare construction and related disciplines-and systems upgrading that is the perfect complement to its experience service cadre.
